Honest answer

Can vet techs make six figures?

Rarely in clinical practice. The BLS 90th percentile is $60,880. There are three reliable paths past $100K:

Practice management

Hospital administrators at multi-doctor or specialty practices reach $80K to $120K+ depending on revenue and metro.

Industry sales

Pharma and equipment reps with vet-tech backgrounds earn $55K to $90K base plus commissions that can clear $100K total.

DVM bridge

The most reliable path. Veterinarian median is $135,787. Bridge programs credit prior coursework but still cost $200K to $350K.

Combine experience with credential and specialty in the salary estimator.
